Skantzen Canal Museum, Hallstahammar
The museum describes the 210-year old history of the Strömsholm Canal and is hosted by the Svedvi-Berg folklore society.
Åsby Agricultural Museum, Hallstahammar
The museum comprises two granaries housing exhibitions of implements
used by agricultural households over two centuries. There is also a distillery and shop with traditions dating back to the 17th century.
Trångfors Smithy, Hallstahammar
At the restored Lancashire smithy, dating back to 1628, there is an impressive display of ’mumbling hammers’ and four forges that were used in the production of iron.
Trångfors Power Station, Hallstahammar
The power station was built in 1898–99 and remained operational until 1988. Today, it houses a museum.
The Jazz Museum, Strömsholm
Look back at the history of jazz from its origins in New Orleans to the jazz musicians of Bergslagen. Concerts will be held almost every evening during the summer.
Strömsholm Palace, Strömsholm
Strömsholm Palace is one of the ten royal palaces and is open to the public as a museum. Adjacent to the palace is the Palace Café, for refreshments during the Palace’s opening hours. Pre-booked guided tours run all year round on request.
Ekomuseum Bergslagen
Hallstahammar Municipality is one of seven municipalities included in the Ekomuseum Bergslagen – an ecology museum without walls. The Skantzen, Trångfors and Strömsholm area, Borgåsund guest harbour and Strömsholm Canal are all part of the Ekomuseum Bergslagen
