Child care and education

In the municipality there are ten preschools, two family day nurcery´s, seven compulsory schools and one special school (for children with a mental development disorder).  

Kantzowska upper secondary school is organised in a union between Hallstahammar and Surahammar municipalities. Adult schooling too is organised in this union and located at KunskapsCenter.
